1. Safety by Architectural Design
Most online platforms optimize for viral reach and unmoderated scale, which often leads to harassment and toxicity. Truly takes the opposite approach:
- Intimate Cohorts: Every room is capped at exactly 8 participants and 1 host. Small groups foster accountability, empathy, and active listening.
- Human-Facilitated: Every Circle is actively guided by a trained host who introduces conversational prompts, ensures balanced participation, and handles disruptions immediately.
- No Public Profiles or Feeds: There are no public follower counts, visible rejection metrics, or open message inboxes for strangers to spam.
2. Real-Time Host Moderation
Our hosts are real humans trained to protect psychological safety:
Active Facilitation
Hosts set the tone with warm opening questions and ensure nobody dominates or interrupts the conversation.
Immediate Ejection
If someone engages in abusive behavior, vulgarity, or harassment, the host has the authority and technical controls to remove them from the call instantly.
3. Live Video Privacy — Zero Recording
We believe honest human connection requires total conversational privacy:
- All video and audio streams operate on peer-to-peer WebRTC technology.
- Truly does not record, save, or transcribe live calls. There are no video files stored on our servers.
- Taking screenshots, screen recordings, or sharing fellow participants' information is strictly prohibited under our Community Guidelines.
4. Double-Blind Contact Protection
Staying in touch after a call is entirely consensual and private:
- You only share your Instagram handle if you choose to.
- Your interest in connecting with another participant is completely double-blind. If they do not also signal interest in you, they will never know you selected them.
- Truly never reveals your phone number or email address to other participants.
5. What to Do If You Feel Uncomfortable
Your emotional and physical well-being is our highest priority:
- You may leave a Circle at any moment by clicking the "Leave Call" button.
- You can send a private message to the host during the call if you notice an issue.
- You can flag an incident on the post-call screen or email our safety team directly at trulyapp.in@gmail.com.
Honest Note on Safety: While our small group architecture and human hosting provide strong safeguards, no online platform can guarantee complete interpersonal harmony. We investigate every reported concern promptly and hold all participants to our zero-tolerance standards.
